Premium Content
Premium lets creators offer subscriber-only content within a Topic and gives interested viewers a clear way to support that work with Points. A subscription belongs to one Topic rather than unlocking Premium content across all of FOCUS.
Creators choose which posts belong behind Premium access. Subscribers can see the Topic, Points price, subscription period, and access details before confirming, then return to the Topic for the content covered by that subscription.
Understand Topic-based access
A Premium label applies to selected content in a Topic. It does not automatically cover every post from the creator or every Topic that creator uses. Before enabling or purchasing access, open the Topic and read its content and subscription information.
If a Topic no longer presents a Premium option, do not rely on an older post or description. Plans and included content can change; the Topic and its Premium posts reflect the access that applies now.
For creators
- Open an owned Topic and enter its Topic settings.
- Enable Allow Premium Content and select a subscription price from the listed options.
- Create a post for that Topic and enable Premium on the post.
- Confirm the access settings and publish the post.
Before publishing, confirm that the post is assigned to the intended Topic and that Preview explains Premium access clearly. A viewer should be able to distinguish subscriber-only content from public content before making a decision.
Eligible Premium activity can contribute to creator rewards, with the creator share reaching up to 95% under current Topic and program rules. Read the share and subscription details before publishing because eligibility, pricing, and the applicable share can vary.
Before disabling Allow Premium Content, read the confirmation carefully. Disabling Premium for a Topic makes its existing Premium content free for everyone. Continue only when that access change is intended.
Credited Premium activity appears in the Creator Dashboard after the reward has been added to your Points balance. The Dashboard explains the source of a credit; Premium setup and subscription plans remain in the Topic.
For subscribers
- Open the Topic or Premium content.
- Read the Points price, subscription period, and access details in FOCUS.
- Confirm only when the selected Topic and terms are correct.
After confirmation, return to the selected content and confirm that it opens. Access belongs to the Topic and period you selected. If the content remains locked, make sure you are signed in to the account that completed the subscription and that you opened the same Topic.
Resolve an access issue
Confirm the selected Topic, subscription status, Points balance, and access notice. Reopen the content from the Topic rather than from an older external link, then look for a refresh or another action on the page.
If the issue continues, use Help & Feedback with the Topic or content, approximate time, and access message. State whether the problem occurred before confirmation or after the subscription appeared successful. Leave unrelated payment, account, and private content information out of the report.
